Recent The Colorado Front Range guest reviews

This house was very quiet, comfortable and offers amazing views of the surrounding mountains. This is a great location if you’re planning to visit Eleven Mile Canyon or Tarryall reservoir for fly fishing, hiking or outdoor recreation. We enjoyed our stay

We love this condo. It is very close to the Garden of the Gods, Maniteau Springs, and Old Colorado CIty. Everything about the Condo was well thought of both in deco and amenities. We had a great weekend and plan to stay again when we come back later this fall.

This mountain home is a must stay for a relaxing get away! We loved how private this property was. My wife and I loved spending time in the hot tub looking out at the beautiful mountain views. The views were even more unbelievable at sunset. In the mornings we enjoyed grabbing coffee from Costello’s Coffee House in the quant little town of Florissant. In the evenings the wrap around porch was great for grilling and playing one of the many board games provided by the host. The fire pit was used to enjoy post dinner s’mores! There is also a great bar/hangout space in the lower level of the home. Very clean property with comfortable beds and furniture also. We will definitely be back :)

Where is the Front Range?

The Front Range is the easternmost mountain range of the Southern Rockies, which divide the Eastern Plains from the mountainous western portion of the state. This mountain range plays host to some of Colorado's most populated towns, as well as a smattering of natural areas and ghost towns well worth exploring.

Natural areas of the Front Range

Guests looking for an active getaway need not go too far before stumbling upon something interesting to explore. Hiking enthusiasts, mountaineers, and rock climbers have plenty of options. There are the jagged peaks of the Flatirons in Boulder, the jaw-dropping formations in the Garden of the Gods, and fourteeners like Pikes Peak (14,144 feet), Mount Evans (14,240 feet), and Longs Peak (14,255 feet).

Mountain bikers and horseback riders will love the winding trails that lead them through the 1.5 million acres of Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests. Wildflower and foliage enthusiasts are in for some of the most spectacular colors they've ever seen, especially in late summer and mid-fall. Those curious to view wildlife will enjoy a hike, bike ride, or rock climbing expedition in Rocky Mountain National Park, where elk, bighorn sheep, moose, marmots, pikas, and even river otters may be spotted.

Visiting in the winter? Though the busy slopes of Summit County are less than 100 miles away, guests can enjoy closer mountain resorts like Loveland Ski Area and Eldora Mountain Resort. Arapaho National Forests becomes a snowmobiling mecca, and trails once walked by hikers welcome snowshoers and Nordic skiers come winter.

Urban attractions of the Front Range

The Front Range just so happens to be home to some of Colorado's most populated areas - including the state capital, Denver - so guests who enjoy cultural highlights like concert venues, museums, great shopping, and play productions are in for a treat.

The Front Range plays host to three major colleges, including two state schools and the US Air Force Academy, making our Front Range vacation rentals perfect for family members of students or armed service members. The quirky, youthful nature of towns like Golden, Boulder, and Fort Collins brings great music, plays, speakers, and other cultural highlights for guests to enjoy. Older guests may enjoy testing their luck in the casinos of Central City or Black Hawk, while play enthusiasts will want to check out the Colorado Shakespeare Festival in Boulder or a concert at Red Rocks just outside of Morrison.

Brewing great beer has become a point of pride for Colorado, and guests who are over 21 will find no shortage of fun tastings and brewhouse tours. Some of the nation's greatest brands have brewhouses in Colorado, including Coors in Golden, Oskar Blues in Longmont, and New Belgium Brewing Company in Fort Collins.

Whether you're visiting the haunted Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, riding the Georgetown Loop Railroad, touring the Lebanon Silver Mine, admiring the expansive coin collection at the American Numismatic Association Money Museum, or exploring the ghost town of Caribou outside of Nederland, the Front Range is rich in history, old buildings, and local lore and legend.

Book a stay in one of these Colorado vacation rentals and experience the beauty, the history, and the unique culture of the Front Range with your friends and family.
